MURPHYS — November 2, 2026. Murphys Community Park and Feeney Park offer local recreation but are operated by two different nonprofit organizations and have separate facility arrangements.
Murphys Community Park
The historic park is publicly owned by Calaveras County but is managed by Murphys Community Club, a volunteer nonprofit that supports maintenance through members, event fees and fundraising.
Feeney Park
The separate Feeney Park Foundation maintains Feeney Park, with ballfields, a disc golf course, a skate park and performance space. It advertises no routine public operating subsidy and relies on volunteers and donations.
Choose the right contact
Someone booking a picnic, sports field or performance should contact the specific park operator instead of treating Murphys Park and Feeney Park as interchangeable municipal facilities. Check which organization issues permits and handles liability insurance.
