MURPHYS — November 2, 2026. Murphys Community Club says it operates and maintains the county-owned Murphys Community Park using memberships, donations, park rental fees and local fundraisers.
Who maintains the park
The nonprofit dates to 1948 and describes a formal responsibility for park upkeep. It has helped build and maintain playgrounds and grounds while coordinating community events.
Public meetings
The organization describes board meetings normally on the second Wednesday each month, except December, at 10 a.m. in an upstairs room of Murphys Library. Anyone planning to attend on Veterans Day should confirm the meeting has not been rescheduled.
How to support it
The group says fundraisers and community rentals support the park. Residents seeking an event space should ask the Murphys Community Club about reservations, deposits and restrictions before assuming a gathering can be held.
